1. OVERVIEW

We want you to be happy with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains your right to withdraw from your order, how to return a product, who pays for return shipping, and how refunds are issued.

This policy forms an integral part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Shipping & Returns Policy. Nothing in this policy limits your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer under Romanian or EU law.

2. YOUR 14-DAY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (EU CONSUMERS)

In accordance with OUG 34/2014 (the Romanian implementation of EU Directive 2011/83/EU), if you are an EU Consumer you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days, without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which:

you, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier), acquire physical possession of the goods; or
in the case of multiple goods ordered together but delivered separately, the day you acquire physical possession of the last good.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough that you send your communication concerning the exercise of your right of withdrawal before the 14-day period has expired.

3. HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

To withdraw from your order, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement. You can do this in any of the following ways:

using the withdrawal button / withdrawal form available on our website;
completing and sending the Model Withdrawal Form in the Annex at the end of this policy; or
sending any other unequivocal statement (for example, an email) to contact.camperista@gmail.com, stating your order number and your decision to withdraw.

Once we receive your withdrawal request, we will send you an acknowledgement and the return address by email.

4. RETURN CONDITIONS

To be eligible for a return under the 14-day right of withdrawal:

the product must be unused and in the same condition in which you received it;
the product must be returned in its original packaging, with all labels, parts, and accessories;
you must provide proof of purchase (order number or invoice);
you must request the return within the 14-day withdrawal period as described above.

Please request a return first and wait for our confirmation and return address before shipping anything back. Please do not send returns cash-on-delivery (COD) — such parcels will be refused.

5. RETURN SHIPPING COSTS

Voluntary withdrawal (you changed your mind, the product doesn't fit your build, you no longer want it, etc.): the cost of returning the product is paid by you, the customer. You bear the direct cost of return shipping.
Items that arrive damaged in transit, have a manufacturing defect, or are the wrong item: the return shipping cost is fully covered by Camperista. We will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse your return shipping cost against a receipt. See Section 9. This applies only to damage or defects that existed before the product reached you.
Damage caused by the customer after delivery (dropping, misuse, improper installation, modification, exposure to heat/chemicals/UV, or any handling contrary to our instructions): this is not covered. Return shipping is your responsibility, and products damaged by the customer are not eligible for a refund under the transit-damage or defect terms.

We strongly recommend using a tracked return service and keeping the receipt — we cannot refund a return that does not reach us.

6. REFUNDS

We will reimburse you no later than 14 days from the day we receive the returned goods back, or — if earlier — from the day you provide proof that you have sent the goods back, whichever comes first. We may withhold the reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence of having sent them back.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the order. You will not incur any fees from us for the reimbursement.
For a valid 14-day withdrawal, we refund the price of the product together with the original standard delivery cost, calculated at the cheapest standard delivery option we offered. Any additional delivery cost you chose (express shipping, insurance, etc.) is not refunded, in accordance with art. 13(2) of OUG 34/2014.

7. DIMINISHED VALUE OF RETURNED GOODS

You may handle the goods only as you would be allowed to in a physical shop — to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning. You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish those things. In such cases we may deduct an amount corresponding to the loss in value from your refund.

8. PRODUCTS EXCLUDED FROM THE 14-DAY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

In line with art. 16 of OUG 34/2014, the following are excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal:

Custom or personalized products made to your specifications (e.g. custom dimensions, custom logos, vehicle-specific bespoke parts), unless they arrive defective;
products that have been used, installed, modified, or visibly damaged by the customer;
gift cards and digital products.

This exclusion does not affect your 2-year legal warranty rights (Section 10) where a product is defective.

9. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR WRONG ITEMS

If your package arrives visibly damaged, if you discover a manufacturing defect, or if you receive the wrong item, you are protected and return shipping is on us. The detailed procedures, evidence requirements, and timeframes (including the 48-hour window for visible transit damage) are set out in our Shipping & Returns Policy, Sections 8, 9, and 12.

This protection covers only damage that occurred before the product reached you (damage in transit) or a genuine manufacturing defect. It does not cover damage caused by the customer after delivery (see Section 5) — that remains the customer's responsibility.

In short, contact contact.camperista@gmail.com with your order number and photo/video evidence, and we will arrange a free replacement or a full refund.

10. 2-YEAR LEGAL WARRANTY OF CONFORMITY

Independently of the 14-day right of withdrawal, all products sold to consumers benefit from the legal warranty of conformity of 2 years from delivery, under Law 449/2003 and OUG 140/2021 (Romanian implementation of EU Directive 2019/771). If a product is not in conformity with the contract during this period, you may be entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction, or a full refund, under the conditions provided by law. For verified non-conformity claims, the cost of return is covered by Camperista. Full details are set out in our Shipping & Returns Policy (Section 11) and Terms of Service (Section 8).

11. ORDER CANCELLATIONS (BEFORE SHIPMENT)

You may cancel an order or change the shipping address free of charge for as long as the order has not yet entered production or been shipped (typically within the first few hours after order placement). Once production of a custom item has started, cancellation may no longer be possible. To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at contact.camperista@gmail.com with your order number. This is separate from, and in addition to, your 14-day right of withdrawal above.

12. NON-EU AND BUSINESS CUSTOMERS

The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to EU Consumers (natural persons acting outside their trade, business, or profession). Business Customers and customers outside the EU are not covered by the statutory withdrawal right, but may return defective, damaged, or incorrect items as described in Section 9 and under any applicable mandatory law.

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER POLICIES

This Return & Refund Policy forms an integral part of our Terms of Service. In case of conflict between this document and the Terms of Service regarding returns and refunds, this Return & Refund Policy prevails for returns and refunds matters specifically. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Romanian or EU law.
