Caravan Corner Steady Pad — Kit of 4

Caravan Corner Steady Pad · Kit of 4

Pitching on grass this summer? Don't wind the steadies into the mud.

By morning, a bare steady foot has quietly sunk into the wet grass and the whole van is leaning. These pads pin to the leg, grip the ground with a ribbed base, and keep all four corners planted — level and rock-free all week.

Soft ground decides overnight

It's level when you arrive. By morning, it isn't.

You wind the steadies down on dry-looking grass and the van sits perfect. Then it rains in the night, the ground softens, and one foot sinks an inch into the turf. Now the van leans, the door catches on its frame, and the whole thing rocks every time someone rolls over in bed.

The classic fix — an offcut of wood under each foot — cracks under the load, soaks up mud, and ends up left on the pitch. Generic jack pads aren't much better: nothing holds them in place, so they squirt out sideways the moment you wind the leg down.

The problem was never the steadies. It's what's under them.

How it works

Cradles the foot. Pins to the leg. Grips the ground.

The steady foot drops into a moulded cradle, so it can't creep off the edge the way it does on a flat offcut. A locking pin pushes straight through the pad and the leg — held by a stainless ring so it can't fall out or get lost in the grass — so the pad travels with the van and is always there at the next pitch. Underneath, a ribbed base spreads the weight across a far wider footprint and bites into soft ground, so the foot stops sinking and all four corners sit proud after the wettest night.

  • Ribbed base spreads the load and grips grass, gravel and mud — no more sinking on soft ground
  • Locking pin + stainless ring — pins to the leg, can't slip off or get lost
  • UV- & weather-resistant PETG, made in Romania — lives outside all season
  • No tools: slide under the foot, pin on, wind down — about ten seconds a corner

If the van shudders every time someone turns over in bed, the steadies are sinking or sliding — not doing their job. Plant all four corners on these and the movement stops. Rock-free, all season.

Four corners, two ways to pad them

The kit maths checks out

4 singles × €13,99€55,96
Kit of 4€29,99

Same pads — ribbed grip, locking pin, anti-sink — for €26 less. That's €7.50 a corner.

All four legs sit on the same wet grass, so all four sink — one padded corner won't keep the van level. The Kit covers every leg; the €26 you save is about a campsite dinner.

The quiet pre-season upgrade

You didn't spend €25,000 on a caravan to stand it on a splintered offcut.

Proper footing costs €7.50 a corner: a pad that pins to the steady leg, grips soft ground, and won't crack, rot or go walkabout. It's the unglamorous upgrade seasoned caravanners sort quietly — before the July pitches fill up.

Straight answers

Before you buy

Will it fit my corner steadies?

It's made to cradle the foot of standard caravan and motorhome corner steadies. If yours are an unusual shape, send us a photo of the steady foot before ordering and we'll tell you straight whether it fits — quicker than a guess and a return.

How does it stay on the leg?

A locking pin pushes through the pad and the steady foot, and a stainless ring keeps the pin captive — so the pad fixes to the leg, travels with the van, and can't slip off or get lost in the grass. No tools needed.

What if the ground is really soft?

The ribbed base spreads the load over a far wider footprint than a bare steady foot or a narrow offcut, so it grips and resists sinking on grass, gravel and mud. On very soft ground it does the job a scrap of wood was always meant to — without cracking or soaking up mud.

Why the Kit of 4 instead of singles?

All four legs sit on the same wet grass, so all four sink the same — one padded corner doesn't keep the van level. Four singles cost €55,96; the Kit of 4 covers every corner for €29,99 — €26 less, €7.50 a corner.

Do I need any tools?

No. Slide the pad under the steady foot, push the pin through, and wind the leg down. It comes off just as easily and packs flat in the locker.

Shipping and returns?

Shipped from inside the EU in 3–7 days, tracked. 14-day returns and a 2-year warranty — try them on your next pitch and send them back within 14 days if they're not for you.
